Stats Show How Important Snodgrass Is to Hull & What Type of Player Burnley or West Ham Would Get

"?When newly promoted Hull City stunned Leicester on the opening day of the Premier League season back in August, it was Robert Snodgrass who scored the all-important winner.

The Scottish midfielder has maintained his output throughout the season, scoring goals and providing assists that directly helped the Tigers take vital points against Burnley, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Everton.

1 - Robert Snodgrass has the most goals (7), assists (3), chances created (45) & shots (39) for Hull City in the league this season. Vital.

Snodgrass has scored seven Premier League goals this season, more than any other Hull player. In fact, his tally after 22 games is more than forwards Abel Hernandez (3) and Adama Diomande (2) have managed combined.

Without his huge input, Hull could potentially be as many as nine points worse off and completely cut adrift from the rest. As it stands in reality, the club is not bottom of the table and remains just one win away from the relative safety of 17th place.

Snodgrass also has more total assists with three - centre-backs Curtis Davies and Harry Maguire are surprisingly next on the list with two each to their name - while he also leads the struggling team in chances created (45) and shots (39).

And yet, despite his obvious importance to the team, Snodgrass appears increasingly unlikely to remain a Hull player beyond this month. Burnley had a £10m offer for the 29-year-old accepted on Wednesday, as did West Ham after they made a reportedly higher bid later on.

His impact at either club promises to be significant as well. Michail Antonio is the only West Ham player to have scored more times in the league than Snodgrass this season, while his assist potential could replace what will be lost with Dimitri Payet in east London.

Should Snodgrass end up at Burnley instead, only Steven Defour can match his assist contribution, while Andre Gray (6) and Sam Vokes (4) have both found the net less often.
