Forgotten Nigeria U23 ace Stanley Amuzie reminded Nigerians of his quality by posting a man of the match performance for his Swiss side FC Lugano in their 1-0 win over Grasshopper in a top division league game in Switzerland.

Amuzie started on the left wing-back in his team 3-5-2 formation and he put up a performance which earned him positive comments from fans of the team after the game.

He made three vital interceptions which denied Grasshopper goal scoring chances, and his link up play with the attack was also positive as he combined well with the man in front of him.

Overall the game was his third game of the season for 4th placed Lugano after 22 round of games in the Swiss League. Injuries and a delay in securing his International Transfer Certificate ( ITC) from Italian Serie A side Sampdoria ?cost him games.

In all competitions, the 21 year old who was ever present for Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympic has made five appearances with the remaining two coming in the cup games against Wil and Gavorrano.
