South African international defender Shaun Mason October was named Man of the Match following his extraordinary display for Hearts of Oak in their narrow 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko in Ghana's Super Clash tie on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old pocket-size full-back was playing his first Ghana derby after joining Hearts of Oak last September and he was adjudged the best performer on the afternoon.

Hearts won the tie thanks to a Selasi Adjei 7th minute strike from close range.

Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo started October for the second time this season and he outshone the rest of the 22 players on the pitch in the afternoon.
