Winner – Sinisa Mihajlovic

After last week’s disappointing loss at his old hunting ground, Mihajlovic would have loved to have made sure his team made their mark in his first game at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. Mihajlovic’s soldiers didn’t disappoint routing the usually defensively sound Bologna 5-1. Andrea Belotti was at his bullish best scoring a hat-trick, to celebrate his call-up to the Azzurri squad. ‘Il Gallo’ (The Rooster) could have had even more if he had scored Torino’s second-half penalty.

However, Mihajlovic still has problems to solve if Il Toro want to make a serious challenge for a Europa League slot this season. Following the loss of Kamil Glik Torino’s defence looks weak and isn’t getting any younger. Simultaneously goalkeeper Daniele Padelli is an accident waiting to happen. But should Mihajlovic find solutions to his defensive issues Torino could be one of the surprises of the season.
