Sabahn Quaye: Black Stars team manager confident 'listener' Avram Grant will succeed
Avram Grant

Black Stars team manager Sabahn Quaye believes Avram Grant will be an instant hit with the Africans because he’s a good listener.

Grant has been handed the task of ‘doing well’ at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and has supervised the team’s training sessions in the past few days.

The immediate task of the former Chelsea coach is to build a crack squad capable of doing well in Equatorial Guinea and winning the ultimate in 2017.

But Sabahn Quaye believes the Israeli will excel due to his positive traits.

“Prior to his appointment as the Black Stars coach most of us knew him as a good. But after a few interactions with him coupled with the little I have seen of his training methods, I believe he will succeed if we all give him the needed support,” he said

“He is a good listener and that is very positive for anyone who wants to go far in anything he does. He is very affable and open to suggestions.

“Many may not know how come the likes of Mahatma Otoo and Assifuah joined the team after the official list had been named. That goes a long way to tell you that I know what I am talking about and he is ready to learn the ropes of Africa football as soon as possible.

The Black Stars are currently in Seville, Spain continuing with their build-up to the continental showpiece.

The Black Stars will play against Senegal, Algeria and South Africa in the proverbial ‘group of death’.

Bad sign. If people are already telling him what to do,. Inkoom is not even playing in mediocre MLS and they called him . Managers are already throwing their players at him so how can he pick his own and take credit or critism pending results... Oh Ghana... Don't know when we'll learn to do the right thing.
