The newly appointed coach of Italian Serie A side Eusebio di Francesco had a whole lot to be happy about after medical test confirmed Sadiq Umar is not badly injured as initially feared.
Back from a loan spell at fellow Serie A side Bologna, the lanky forward has won the heart of the coach who took over from former coach Luciano Spalletti who had little or no faith in the abilities of the Nigeria Rio 2016 Olympic star.
Sadiq has found favour in Eusebio, and his confidence appears to be returning as he found the back of the net in their 1-0 pre season win over Slovacko last week, and he has been ever present in all of their off pitch and promotional events in the US, where they are on a training tour.
He suffered an ankle sprain during shooting drills, but test showed the sprain is not as bad as initially feared, meaning the striker who finished as top scorer for Nigeria at the Rio Olympics will be back in few days time.
