Aimed at ensuring that the Super Eagles get enough information that will guide them to beat the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon when they clash at Uyo in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have dispatched the Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, to Russia to spy on Cameroon at the ongoing FIFA Confederation cup.

Camerron, which is representing Africa at the Confederation cup will clash with the Eagles in the double header World cup qualifier on August 28 and September 5 in Uyo and Younde respectively.

NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, disclosed that the federation has decided to send the Franco-German Coach to watch the African champions in Russia, adding that Rohr will get first hand information on the Central Africans and then plan on how to beat them in Uyo.

“Rohr will be at the Confederations Cup as part of the team’s preparations for the matches against Cameroon. We are not leaving any chances as far as that match is concerned. We are ready to put in every effort as we have done in the past to make sure that we consolidate on the group table by beating Cameroon”, Sanusi stated.

The Indomitable Lions lost their opening group game 0-2 to Chile on Sunday night and will face Australia on Thursday in their second group game.

Sanusi also disclosed that the NFF has no plans for now to move the Super Eagles match against Cameroon out of Uyo.
