Robert Mizo bids Bayelsa United farewell

Robert Christian Mizo who moved from Bayelsa United to Al Hilal of Libya recently penned a farewell message to the Nigeria Premier Football League club on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 23-year-old joined Al Hilal SC Benghazi on a 3-year deal about 5 days ago after finishing as the top scorer in the league in 2023 with 19 goals.

Mizo in a message via his social media handle thanked the club for giving him the platform to develop and get to the height he is at the moment.

He also thanked his  former teammates, the NPFL, league award organisers, journalists and all those who has made his career what it is.

"I want to sincerely appreciate Bayelsa United FC for giving me the platform to be part of the club which is the bedrock of my football career and development. I thank everyone who has contributed to my career from the beginning until this moment.

To my former teammates and coaching staff of the Bayelsa United Football Club, I will forever remain grateful for your support, advice, and guidance.

And to all my fans both at home and abroad, I thank you for your support and for being part of my story." He said.
