Rio 2016: Unaccredited Officials Of U23 Team Sent Home

Four unaccredited Nigeria U-23 team officials are being expected back to the country today after been sent home from Brazil.

According to nigeriasoccernet report, the officials whose inclusion into the caused some concerns in Sao Paolo left Brazil yesterday. The affected persons that will depart the Nigeria U23s camp include the Media Officer, Timi Ebikagboro, curator, team coordinator, Stanley Dimgba and goalkeeper Yusuf Mohammed.

These officials are not included in the official 25 accredited persons.(that is 18 players and 7 officials) allowable by the International Olympic Committee, and both the NFF and Sports Ministry are unable to continue footing their bills in Brazil.

Meanwhile, NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, will arrive Sao Paulo tomorrow to support the Dream Team in his capacity as leader of the football team to the 2016 Rio Olympics. credit: vanguardngr
