He also started in West Ham's first Premier League game of the season, playing just under 80 minutes in a 2-0 win against Arsenal.

The player is said to have concerns over playing time at the club, but still has two years left on his current deal.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are all believed to be monitoring the situation, and could make bids during the transfer window.

Sky Sports also understands that the Hammers had a £31m bid turned down for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The French forward has attracted attention from a host of Premier League clubs, and the race for his signature will surely be on soon.

Lacazette scored 21 goals in 34 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon during the season.
