"?Championship club Reading have reportedly sent scouts to watch Grimsby striker and League Two top scorer Omar Bogle.

According to "?Get Reading, the 23-year-old forward is also wanted by Yorkshire clubs Barnsley and Rotherham.

Reading scouts were said to be in attendance as Bogle's Grimsby beat Notts County 2-0 at Blundell Park on Saturday.

Told that #Reading were scouting #gtfc's Omar Bogle today.

Not one of his best games but his tally now stands at 19 for the season.

The former Solihull Moors striker has scored an impressive 19 goals in 26 appearances so far this season.

That total has already surpassed his record in Grimsby's promotion campaign last season, in which he found the net 13 times, although he scored twice as the Mariners beat Forest Green 3-1 in the Conference play-off final.

Reading are looking for a striker to support Yann Kermorgant with Deniss Rakels injured and Joseph Mendes unable to make an impact as yet.

Grimsby manager Marcus Bignot told the "?Grimsby Telegraph last month: "Obviously, it's something I can't control "? I can't stop interest, and there is certainly is that, but there is a long way to go for that to be turned into anything that suits us, Omar and the club."
