South African Premier Soccer League side Polokwane City have signed Ghana striker Ransford Osei on a three-year deal, head coach Kosta Papic has confirmed.

Osei has been without a club since his release by Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko two seasons ago.

The 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup silver ball winner has been struggling to get his career back on track after failed stints in Europe.

City coach Kosta Papic says the player should be ready to start playing in a month or so.

“He is a promising player,” Papic is quoted by KickOff.com. "There are a few things that is working on at training and probably after three to four weeks he will be ready to start playing.”

Osei, a member of the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup winning team, has already played for PSL side Bloemfontein Celtic.

He also played in Israel for Maccabi Haifa and Dutch side Twente.
