Ghanaian international striker Patrick Twumasi scored both goals Astana FC as they edged out of the Kazakhstani Cup Kaisar Kyzylorda after beating them 2-1 on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old striker levelled the scoring for Astana in the 69th minute after Edin Junuzovic had granted the lead to the home side.

Twumasi then sealed the victory for Astana late into extra-time after he brilliantly finished off a move he initiated.

The former Red Bulls Sogakope Academy graduate has increased his total tally in all competitions to five (5) goals as he has already scored thrice in the league season.

Twumasi was influential in Astana's title-winning campaign last season.
