Out-of-Favour Chelsea Star Set to Be Sent Out on Loan by Club in January

Published on: 31 October 2016

Chelsea will look to send Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas out on loan in January as current boss Antonio Conte looks to reshape his squad, according to the "?Times.

Fabregas, who pockets £160k-a-week at Stamford Bridge, is apparently not suited to the current 3-4-3 system the Italian boss has implemented, and has made only one start in the Blues' first ten Premier League games.

Chelsea will even consider subsidising the wages of the Juventus and AC Milan target in order to free up funds to sign a replacement.

The Spaniard was signed by former manager Jose Mourinho from Barcelona in 2014 and he made an immediate impact, helping the Blues to the Premier League title in two seasons ago.

However, after a miserable campaign last term, Fabregas has been overlooked by Conte - who prefers a high energy set-up with new signing N'Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic as his central midfielders - even while the report claims there has been no fall out between player and coach.

The Chelsea staff have been impressed by the player's professionalism even while he finds himself out of contention, though he's not seen to have the physical presence nor positional discipline to flourish under his new coach.

It's not currently known whether Fabregas is actively looking to leave in spite of his lack of football, though there should be no shortage of suitors.

Fabregas was linked with a move to Milan in the last transfer window, and he could be targeted again in the new year should a decision to be made for Fabregas to depart.
