Turkish club Osmanlispor have rejected a bid of five million Euros by champions Besiktas for Nigeria international Umar Aminu.

It was further understood that Aminu has a release clause of 15 million Euros after he recently extended his contract at the Ankara club.

He still has three and half years left on his contract at Osmanlispor.

Sources close to the striker have told AfricanFootball.com he is aware of the Besiktas interest.

“He has confided in some of his friends in the national team about the Besiktas interest, but he is still waiting on his club to get across to him,” said a top source.

Aminu has impressed with Osmanlispor in his debut season in the Turkish top flight.

As Besiktas were winning the Turkish championship, Aminu was also shinning with Osmanlispor, who are based in the Turkish capital city of Ankara.

The 21-year-old former Wikki Tourists star scored eight goals in 28 appearances in the league for his club to finish fifth on the table ahead of bigger clubs like Galatasaray, Trabzonspor and Antalyspor.

He has previously featured in the Turkish second division with Samsunspor.

He has been capped by Nigeria at U20 and Olympic levels and made his Super Eagles debut against Egypt in March.
