Opponent watch: South Africa depart for Gabon pre-AFCON training camp today

Ghana's Group C opponents South Africa will depart for Gabon this afternoon en-route to Equatorial Guinea for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The squad will now fly directly to Libreville, the capital of Gabon, after they were initially scheduled to make an overnight stop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The South Africans are jetting off at 14h50, but will first meet the Minister of Sport Fikile Mbalula at 11h00 who will wish them well on their assignment.

Mabalula will be accompanied by Safa president Danny Jordaan at the Southern Sun Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

Bafana Bafana begin their camping against Algeria on 19 January in Mongomo.
