Onyekuru Subbed Off In Galatasaray Defeat To AEK Athens

Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru , failed to rescue Turkish giants, Galatasaray who went down to a 3-2 defeat in a pre-season friendly against Greek club, AEK Athens at the Olympic Stadium, Greece on Tuesday.

Onyekuru who scored the winning goal in Fathi Terim’s men 1-0 win against Tunisian side, Club Africain in their previous match fired blanks in the game.

The striker was replaced by Algerian midfielder, Sofiane Feghouli at the start of the second half.

He has now featured in five pre-season games for Galatasaray and has scored two goals and recorded one assist.

Maicon scored both goals for Galatasaray in the encounter , while Cosic Klonaridis, and Kostas Mandolas (brace) were on target for AEK Athens.
