Omeruo Set For Leganes Debut Vs Real Madrid Tonight

Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo, is in line to make his debut for Spanish side, Leganes after he was included in the club’s 18-man squad for tonight’s (Saturday) La Liga clash against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Omeruo, who is on loan at Leganes from English Premier League club, Chelsea failed to make the match day squads for Manuel Pellegrino’s men’s opening two games of the season against Athletico Bilbao and Real Sociedad.

The centre-back is among the six defenders listed for the game against the European champions by Pellegrino.

He is Nigeria’s squad for next Saturday’s 2018 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles in Victoria despite not playing a competitive game for over two months.

Leganes are still searching for their first win of the campaign after picking just one point from their opening two games.

The trip to Santiago Bernabeu represents a tough test for the modest side who will fight to hand Real Madrid their first league defeat this term.
