Leganes will tomorrow unveil their third signing of the summer in 24 hours after agreeing a deal with Chelsea for Nigeria international defender Kenneth Omeruo to join the club on loan for the rest of the season.

Omeruo arrived Madrid earlier today and underwent a routine medical ahead of his official presentation tomorrow by the club, and in the process joins the duo of Jose Arnaiz and Oscar Rodriguez as new players at the club in the last 24 hours.

Capped 40 times by Nigeria, 24 year old Omeruo will spend the season on loan with an option to make the move permanent for €5m next summer with Chelsea also agreeing a 20% future sale clause in the agreement.

Owngoalnigeria.com first broke the news of interest in his services from La Liga teams Real Betis and Levante, however Valladolid and Leganes were the last two Spanish teams to slug it out for his signature.

After spending the past three seasons in Turkey, Omeruo turned down interest from teams in Turkey as he was attracted to the idea of living in Madrid and also playing in the La Liga.

His signing brings to 13 the number of players Leganes have signed this summer with Omeruo set to replace out of favour defender Mauro dos Santos who has been told he can leave the club.
