Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has tipped Belgium to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup third place match on Saturday in Saint Petersburg.

Belgium will face England on Saturday after they lost 1-0 to France in the semi-finals last Tuesday’:. England also suffered a 2-1 loss to Croatia in the other semi-final on Wednesday.

The two sides met ealier in the group stage of the tournament at the Saint Petersburg Stadium with Belgium emerging victors.

Oliseh who has spent close to two decades living in Belgium, believes the Red Devils have more midfield quality to overrun England.

“One of the strengths of the English team is pace which the Belgian team also have. But in overall quality, I think Belgium have more and should win.,” Oliseh told CSN.

“It’s going to be tough, but the Belgians will love to go home on a high after losing to France in that unlucky manner just like the English too.

“Another reason the Three Lions may have it tough is that most of these Belgian players face the English boys every week in the EPL and they should be wary of Eden Hazard.”

Hazard who has been linked with a move away from Chelsea has scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in his last 24 matches for Belgium.

“He (Hazard) is taking the responsibility of a captain very well and he will want to win something for his nation.”

At the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Belgium became the first team to win a match against opponents from five different confederations in a single edition of the tournament: versus Panama (CONCACAF), Tunisia (CAF), England (UEFA), Japan (AFC) and Brazil (CONMEBOL).
