Nigerian forward, Kayode Olanrewaju, is looking forward to seeing Shakhtar Donetsk clinching the league title after winning the Ukrainian Cup title last Wednesday.

Shakhtar Donetsk defeated arch-rivals Dynamo Kiev 2-0 in the final of the Ukrainian Cup at the Dnipro Arena on Wednesday.

With two games left to play (against Veres and Dynamo Kiev) in the Ukrainian Premier League play-offs, Shakhtar Donetsk currently lead closest rival in the table Dynamo Kiev with five points, and the former Girona forward is confident that they will bag the league title as well.

“We have another title to win,” Olanrewaju said in a chat with CSN.

“And we are not resting on our oars ahead of Sunday’s game against Veres.”

The 25 year old also insists that he made the right choice joining Shakhtar Donetsk in January after a torrid spell with Spanish La Liga side, Girona.

Olanrewaju is on loan at the Miners from English champions, Manchester City.

“It has turned out to be a good move and I’m happy with it. The future will sort itself,” the former Nigeria youth international revealed when asked about his future.

The former Austria Wien striker has scored three goals in five games in all competitions for Shakhtar.
