Okpotu Fails to score in DHJ, ES Setif Draw

Nigerian forward, Anthony Okpotu, fired blanks as his Moroccan club, Difaa Hassani El Jadidi were held to a 1-1 draw at home by ES Serif of Algeria in their CAF Champions Leaue Group B clash on Friday, this face elimination from the competition.

Okpotu, who recently linked up with DHJ from Nigeria Professional Football League club, Lobi Stars started the game and was replaced in the 77th minute by Hamza Hannouri.

Saimon Msuva opened scoring for DHJ in the 23rd minute, while Habib Bouguelmouna equalised for the visitors from the spot in the 32nd minute.

DHJ remain in last position in the group with two points from four games.

ES Setif who occupy third position have garnered four points from four games.

Former champions TP Mazembe of Democratic Republic of Congo and MC Alger of Algeria will clash in the group’s other match on Saturday.
