Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu is back in training with his Israeli club, Hapoel Be’er Sheva ahead of the new season.

Ogu was granted an extended break by Hapoel Be’er Sheva following his participation with Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

He sat out Nigeria’s three games at the tournament despite impressing in two of their last two pre-World Cup friendlies against England and Czech Republic.

Ogu posted a picture of himself participating in a training session on Friday with a short message.

“Back like I never left !! ????,” reads a tweet on Ogu’s Official Twitter handle.

The midfielder is in line to feature for the club in the second leg of their Champions League first qualifying round tie against Estonian Champions, Flora Tallinn next week Tuesday.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva won the first leg on away soil 4-1.

They will kick-start the defence of their Israeli league title on August 24 against Ironi Kryat.
