Elder brother to Arsenal latest signing Kelechi Nwakali, Chidiebere Nwakali won’t be joining Manchester City in their pre season tour this summer as oppose to previous times.
Nwakali has twice been involved in pre season with the first team of the Etihad based side but according to reports, new manager Pep Guardiola didn’t include him in the club’s pre season programme that includes a tour to China and the US.
He will instead focus on his loan side IK Start of Norway where he has finally got his European career underway after two failed loan spells with Malaga and Girona in Spain where he failed to make a single appearance.
At IK Start 19 year old Nwakali who joined Manchester City alongside Kelechi Ihenacho after helping Nigeria win the U-17 World Youth Championship in 2013 has so far made 11 appearances scoring once in the process.
Still highly rated by Manchester City, the club confirmed they are monitoring his progress in Norway while Nwakali still has faith that he will one day turn out for the the blue half of Manchester outfit.
