NPFL Update: Sunshine Still Hopeful Of Title

With less than eight matches to close the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season Sunshine Stars are still dreaming of clinching the title. Ojo Olorunleke, the safe hand of the Akure side said on Wednesday in an interview monitored via goal that the management has put all logistics in place to enable the team achieve a last minute gasp. “The team has every quality and all it takes to lift the league trophy this season, we’ve got good management, good officials and great players,” Ojo said. Ironically, the Solomon Ogbeide tutored side who just got eliminated from the 2016 Federation Cup by Akwa United of Uyo, are sixth in the top flight, with eight points behind leaders,  Wikki Tourists of Bauchi even with two games to spare. But the keeper went spiritual, “By God’s grace my performance has not been bad because I’ve always put more than 100% in every match I am called upon to play. “I have all the reason to thank God because it is Him that has been helping me as I don’t have the power of my own. I just want to keep working hard and to help my team achieve success at the end of season through the help of God.” However, the former Giwa FC goalkeeper basking on his clean sheets in the last three games for concluded that hard work will help them amass the eight-point deficit to be in contention for the title. “All we just need to do is to keep working hard and face every match with the right attitude and God will help us,” he concluded.
