A goal by Samson Obi was all the Warriors needed to get maximum points against the Prosperity Boys at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

Bayelsa United started the better side a free-kick taken by Garando Tekena, but goalkeeper Nmecha Johnson came to the rescue for the hosts.

The visitors continued dominance, but close to the end of the half after the introduction of Samson Obi and Paschal Nwabueze, Warriors almost scored, but Adekunle was there to clear the ball off the line.

The intensity of the match increased, but it was not until after 80th minute that the deadlock was broken through Obi's well taken goal.
