NPFL: Rangers Coach Ogunbote Eager To Extend Unbeaten Run Vs Wikki To 7 Games

Enugu Rangers head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, says his side is well motivated to beat Wikki Tourists in their Nigeria Professional Football League match-day 20 encounter today (Sunday) in Jos.

The Flying Antelopes beat their hosts 3-0 in the reverse fixture last Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium with Godwin Aguda, Christian Madu and Kelvin Itoya getting the goals.

That win extended their unbeaten run  against the Bauchi club to six games and Ogunbote is hopeful they can keep the record intact at the end of 90 minutes at the New Jos Stadium.

“We have a team that is well motivated going into the match with Wikki on Sunday in Jos,” Ogunbote told the club’s official website.

“They gave us a good match in the last game but we were lucky to bury some our our chances on match day and I hope that we are more clinical in front of goal this time around.

“It will be difficult, but I believe that we are good going into this fixture.”

The seven-time NPFL champions will be without injured trio, Ifeanyi George, Felix Ogbuke and Nana Bonsu in the game.
