NPFL Preview:Bosso targets home win against Wolves

El-Kanemi Warriors coach, Ladan Bosso, has said the team will get a win over visiting Warri Wolves when they meet in their Week 20 match in Maiduguri on Sunday.

El-Kanemi, who defeated Rangers 2-0 in a rescheduled match during the week, moved out of the relegation zone and are currently 13th in the log with 22 points from a possible 54 while Wolves are 12th with 25 points.

Bosso, who spoke with our correspondent during the week, said the match was one which El Kanemi needed to boost their confidence, adding that the team’s target is a continental ticket at the end of the season.

“Warri Wolves are a tough side to beat but we are working towards a win at home,” he said.

“The boys have been playing to instructions as they did against Rangers, especially when we are on the offensive, it’s a game plan that worked perfectly and yielded an instant result.

“The win over Rangers on Wednesday will motivate the boys to get this win too. A draw is not what we are working for because it will affect the target we have. The home fans have been worried about our away form, which has not been too good, but we are working on making amends as the second stanza kicks off.

“I have always been a confident coach from the outset and nothing is impossible in football. We want to replicate same form displayed in our home games against Warri Wolves on Sunday and hopefully start a new road form in Bauchi against Wikki Tourists by midweek. These matches will be approached with all sense of urgency.”
