Remo Stars' Beyond Limits Football Academy may have won the championship, but runners up, Plateau United's Mees Palace Football Academy players stole the show at the Nigeria Premier Football League LaLiga U-15 Promise awards, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Plateau United as a team won the award for the most organised team for their "impeccable coordination" while three out of the four of the individual awards were carted away by the Jos Boys.

The golden ball was awarded to Umar Bala as the Most Valuable Player of the season. The attacking midfielder scored five goals in five matches and won a back to back man of the match awards.

Sumfat Julius won the award for the Best Goal. He scored a beauty of a goal against Sunshine Stars in the semi finals. The lad dragged the ball from the left flank to strike a curler into the left side of the roof of the net. He also got a 100 thousand naira from MTN Nigeria.

Moses Chuwang was named the  Best Goalkeeper of the tournament after making impressive and crucial saves and two penalty saves.

Meanwhile, the maiden edition of the Most Articulate Player award went to Abubakar Sadiq of El Kanemi Warriors.

He said by the organisers to be "outstanding and showed maturity whenever he speaks on the podium, pre and post match, a leader on and off the pitch."
