Katsina United emerge the winner  against Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League match day 22 fixture on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Changi Boys edged the Sai Masu Gida side 3-2 in a thrilling Northwest Derby at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

Jonas Emmanuel opened score on 33 minutes to put the hosts ahead and give them a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half.

Pillars got back into the game in the second half after Ibrahim Mustapha Yuga headed in Rabiu Ali's corner to level the score on 59 minute.

Azeez Falolu restored the home team's lead on 67 minutes before former Pillars man who came in as a substitute, Nazifi Yahaya doubled the lead 3 minutes later, making comeback difficult for the Kano side.

Mustapha Umar scored from a follow-up to trim the home team's lead to make it 3-2, but it was too late as the hosts held on to win.
