Nigerian Professional Football League leading goal scorer Junior Lokosa has been excluded from the Super Eagles 35-man World Cup list.
CSN findings revealed that the Nigeria Football Federation has completed the documentations of the players who are heading to the World Cup camp of the Super Eagles in Austria and Lokosa is not included.
“Nobody as at today has forwarded Lokosa’s name for invitation for the World Cup, so I don’t know how he will make the team,” a high-level source told CSN on Friday. “I doubt if he is being considered for the Super Eagles team at all. We have applied for visas for Austria and as you can see, he is not among those going for interview today.”
Meanwhile, the Kano Pillars striker, who has scored 16 goals in the first half of the NPFL season, is expected to jet out on trials with Montpellier in France next week.
