Kano Pillars defender, Jamiu Alimi, has revealed he is targeting a top-three finish and CAF qualification ticket with the club, an ambition that was further boosted with the Sai Masu Gida's 2-0 win over Rivers United in a rescheduled game on Thursday.

A brace from captain Rabiu Ali handed the Musa Ibrahim's side their 14th win of the season which also moved them to ninth in the NPFL log with 42 points from 32 games.

With six games left to play, the Super Eagles defender and the former Tavriya player is confident Pillars will finish in the top three.

"My target is what everyone at the club wants to come to pass, which is to finish in the top three or maybe on the top," Alimi told Completesportsnigeria.com.

Alimi who has five international caps for the Super Eagles is also confident that the Home Eagles will qualify for the CHAN competition in 2018.

"We are confident of qualifying, and by God's grace we will.

Kano Pillars face league leaders Plateau United in their next game on Sunday at the Sani Abacha stadium.
