The home team have struggled since the season restarted in 2024 with just a solitary win in their last twelve outings.

The game looked like it was already decided in favour of the home side thanks to Andrew Majalisa’s strike on the stroke of halftime.

However, returning captain Nduka Junior had other plans. The 22 year old forayed towards the opposition goal in the dying moments of the game.

He then found himself clean on goal in the second minute of added time following a clean team move by the Stars, the captain coolly controlled the ball before firing a ferocious effort past Kingdom Osayi in goal for the hosts to steal a point for the travelling side.

It was the centreback’s opening goal of the season in what was his 26th appearance. He only just returned from a minor leg injury.

Last season, the free scoring defender who idolizes Spanish legend Sergio Ramos scored three times in the league, that included a stunning free kick and is poised to equal that tally before the end of the season.
