Nigeria champions Kano Pillars will begin their training tour of Ghana on Thursday when they tackle Hearts of Oak in Accra.

According to an official statement, kick-off time for the test match is 3pm local time, which is 4pm Nigerian time.

Pillars are preparing for CAF Champions League preliminary round match against Maliaka of South Sudan later this month.

Meanwhile, Nigerian high commissioner in Ghana, Ademola Oluseyi Onofowokan, has charged Pillars to give Nigeria good representation in the CAF Champions League as he assured them of the embassy's support while they stay in Ghana.

"There is need for the players to be focused in the challenges ahead of them and to do everything possible to revive the glory of the then Kano Raccah Rovers FC,” he said.

"Being three times champions of Nigeria, Nigerians especially those in the football family are not expecting anything less but the CAF Champions league trophy."
