"?The New Year has come as a blessing for those Premier League players on 4 bookings so far this season, with the threshold for a suspension from yellow cards now rising from 5 to 10.

This is great news for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur pair Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama, Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney, Liverpool stalwart Dejan Lovren and on loan Bournemouth star Jack Wilshere, all of whom have picked up 4 yellow cards this season.

Meanwhile, it's pretty much as you were for Diego Costa, Jan Vertonghen and Matt Lowton, whose 5 bookings already earned them a suspension over the festive period and they will now need to avoid 5 more to not be banned again.

The deadline for the 10 bookings is April 2nd.
