Osimhen played a pivotal role in Napoli's Serie A triumph last season, ending a 33-year drought.

Despite extending his contract until 2026, Osimhen's potential departure at the end of the season seems likely, with clubs prepared to meet his €140 million release clause.

In anticipation of Osimhen's possible exit, Napoli is turning their attention to Boniface, a 23-year-old currently with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. Boniface has impressed with 10 goals and eight assists in just 15 starts, earning him consecutive Rookie of the Month awards.

However, a recent adductor injury has sidelined Boniface during Leverkusen's crucial run in multiple competitions.

Italian transfer expert Niccolò Ceccarini has highlighted Napoli's interest in Boniface, along with other strikers, stating, "In addition to him, there is also Benjamin Sesko. Also in this case the evaluation is the same as Gimenez, Leverkusen’s Boniface." (Reported by Calcio Mercato)
