Gent of Belgium forward Moses Simon has joined the likes of John Ogu, Olarewaju Kayode, Leon Balogun and Victor Osimhen in pulling out of the Super Eagles proposed friendly game against Corsica.

Simon only returned to first time action on Sunday after missing two weeks with a hamstring injury picked up while playing for his team Gent, but he still believes he need time to be fully fit.

He has now stepped up his fitness regime with the club’s physiotherapist ?in preparation for the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers clash against South Africa on the 10th of June in Uyo.

Also he is set to hold talks with Gent over a move away this summer following reports of interest in his services from teams outside Germany, with French side Monaco leading the likes of English Premier League side Brighton and West Brom in the race for his services.

Talks over ?his preferred destination and price tag will be held next week with the player and his agent said to be unhappy by Gent’s €20m valuation of the forward.

His agent Tony Harris insist that the price tag is bit exorbitant, but remains hopeful that a deal suitable for both parties will be reached for his transfer in the coming days.
