Moses On Target As Chelsea Beat Inter 5-4 On Pen

Super Eagles forward, Victor Moses made his first appearance for Chelsea and scored from the spot as the Blues defeated Italian side, Inter Milan 5-4 on penalties after both teams were level at 1-1 at full time in Saturday’s International Champions Cup (ICC) clash played in Nice.

It was Chelsea’s second win in pre-season.

The Blues started the Maurizio Sarri era with a 1-0 victory over Perth Glory last week and were ahead after eight minutes when Pedro Rodriguez turned in Alvaro Morata’s rebound shot.

Moses who played as a wing-back for Chelsea in the last two season was handed his preferred role on the flanks by Maurizio Sarri who introduced him on for Pedro Rodriguez in the 65th minute of the encounter.

In the penalty shoot-out, Andrea Ranocchia, Gagliardini, Lautaro Martínez, Yann Karamoh all scored their kicks while Milan Skriniar watched in agony as his spot kick was saved by Wilfredo Caballero.

For Chelsea Jorginho, Danny Drinkwater, Moses, Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta all scored from the spot to hand Chelsea a second pre-season win.

Sarri’s side will now face Arsenal in Dublin in their next game on Wednesday
