Adams, who has impressed since joining Montpellier from Lillestrom last summer, was expected to receive an invitation to the Super Eagles following his strong start to the season, netting seven goals in his first 10 games for the Ligue 1 side.

However, the 24-year-old has experienced a goal drought since November 2023, despite maintaining regular appearances for his club.

In an exclusive interview with BBC's Oluwashina Okeleji, Adams expressed confidence in his ability to seize the opportunity when it arises, stating, "We all have our place and we are privileged to have so many good strikers and so many good players. So, when the time comes, I’ll take the opportunity. It’s a dream for every Nigerian kid, which I am one of." Akor said as quoted on Daily Post.
