Nigerian midfielder Michael Agu says he feels over the moon after joining FC Bursaspor of Turkey on loan from FC Porto, but vows to justify the investment on him by the club, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Agu joined the Turkish Super League side on a year deal after he failed to tie down a regular shirt at FC Porto. He has since settled down at the Turkish club joining his Nigerian compatriot, Willaim Troos-Ekong at the Ozluce facilities.
“I really want to prove to everyone that my coming to Bursaspor is not in vain and the only to do that is work had to justify my coming," Agu told Skorer.
“I am happy to join the club and I have to work hard to ensure the club fans feel happy about my arrival. I have lots of good things in mind since joining Bursaspor.
“I hope it will be a great season for us this year."
Asked why he chose Bursaspor, Agu revealed that he actually carried out some personal research and sought for counselling from his friends who know much about the club and Turkish football in general.
“I spoke to few players and they said lots of good things about the club. Besides, I did a whole lot of research about the club and realize Bursaspor is a big club. That is the main reason why I chose to join,” he said.
