MFM FC forward, Sikiru Olatunbosun has expressed his delight after scoring a superb free-kick in his team's 2-1 home win against Abia Warriors at Agege Stadium in Wednesday's matchday 16 Nigeria Professional Football League game.

Olatunbosun curled in a wonderful free-kick over Abia Warriors' defensive wall from the edge of the 18-yard box to put MFM 2-0 up in the first half.

Aside from his goal, Olatunbosun also provided the assist for the first goal scored by league top scorer Stephen Odey who now has 13 goals so far this season.

The win takes MFM back to the top in the league table on 30 points, while Plateau United are second on 29 points.

Reacting to the win and his overall performance, Olatunbosun said  that he was satisfied with his contribution to the win.

"It has been long that I scored from a free-kick like that," an elated Olatunbosun told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"I am very happy for the wonderful free-kick goal that I scored.

"Looking at my performance, I believe it was fine and I give God all the glory for everything."

Olatunbosun also wished MFM FC would remain on top of the log till the end of the first part of the season.

"The win against Abia Warriors was a very good one for MFM. It now gives us the courage to go away and get at least a point.

"With the win, we are now back at the top and our target is to remain at the top until the end of the first half of the season."

Commenting on the chemistry among his teammates and their away trip to Nasarawa this weekend, Olatunbosun said:"We are all like brothers because we have been playing for a long time.

"We know each other, we know how to give ourselves the right passes and this is because we have been playing together.

"In our next game (away to Nasarawa United), we are going there to win or get a draw, we are not going there to lose."
