Manchester United are said to have met with representatives of "?Roma defender Kostas Manolas as they eye up a possible summer move, with a bid in the region of £30m being discussed.
Manolas could even become the first signing of Jose Mouinho's reign at Old Trafford, with the ex-Chelsea manager expected to take over the position recently vacated by Louis van Gaal at some point later this week - possibly as early as Thursday.

"?Gianluca Di Marzio's website claims: "The Red Devils are very interested, it appears that they have already contacted Manolas' entourage during the weekend of May 14th. Roma is asking for €40m to sell him, a sum that Manchester United would be willing to pay to grant their new coach's wish."
There is one issue with any potential deal though - with Football Leaks having revealed previously that Roma paid €6.5m for half of Manolas' 'economic rights' in 2014, and will have to buy the second half for the same fee if the Greek international isn't sold by 1 September this year.
It's suggested that United could be set to loan the 24-year-old until that date, before finalising a permanent deal the following day in order to avoid any third-party issues with the move.
Manolas nearly arrived in England back in 2014, with Arsenal trying to sign 28-year-old Manolas for £8m, but the move fell through at the last moment and he joined AS Roma for £10m instead. Since then, Manolas has featured on 86 occasions for I Giallorossi, scoring twice.
