Incoming City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly not a fan of the 30-year-old who has failed to mark in the Premier League, scoring on just four occasions in his three seasons since moving from Spanish side Sevilla.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager may find further incentive to move Navas away from the Etihad as City look to capture Spanish forward Nolito after activating the release clause in his contract.

According to the "?Daily Star, The Celta Vigo striker has agreed a three-year deal with the Manchester club, with an option for a year extension.

The 29-year-old, who can also play as a left winger, was thought to be on Barcelona's radar however was tired of waiting for the Spanish champions to make their move.

This comes after "?reports that Manchester City are also looking to make a £40m move for Schalke wonderkid Leroy Sane, but again face strong competition in the form of Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich.

Representatives of the 20-year-old hot prospect are said to have held talks with Schalke in the past few days with the aim of moving the player on.

However Bayern have made a last-ditched swoop for the German international, but wish for him to remain at Schalke until Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery leave at the end of the upcoming campaign.
