Manchester City Stars Set for Summer Exodus Under Incoming Manager Pep Guardiola

Published on: 14 May 2016

"?Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is soon to step down from his current position and take over from Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City with the manager looking to place an immediate stamp of identity on the club in an attempt to mold them into a title-winning side.

City haven't been in the best of form this season, and their performances certainly curtailed after it was announced that Guardiola would be replacing Pellegrini in the summer. But they could secure a Champions League spot with a win over Swansea on Saturday.

According to "?GIVEMESPORT, the Spanish coach will look to sell a host of star players during the summer break in order to make space for an incoming batch of fresh talent, such as:

Wilfried Bony

The Ivory Coast international hasn't been very productive since leaving Swansea last year. It would always be tough competing for places with Sergio Aguero, but he has dropped further down the pecking order with the emergence of Kelechi Iheanacho.

Bony has scored just four times in 26 Premier League appearances this season, leaving him with lots to do to convince Guardiola he should remain at City.

Fabian Delph

A talented player surely, but with Guardiola's attraction for big names, the Englishman could find himself on the fringes pretty quick.

Willy Caballero

Caballero is another good player. However, he is likely to leave as well, as he can't really provide competition for Joe Hart between the sticks. The Argentine is also 34, and that should work against him.

Jesus Navas

This winger is possibly the worst crosser of the ball you will ever see, yet he is known for the sporadic good performance and lightning quick feet. He doesn't seem a player that Guardiola would want to keep, however.

Martin Demichelis

The Argentinian played well enough to help City win the title two seasons ago, but he's definitely lost it. Remember how Marcus Rashford put him on his back earlier in the season?

A great defender in his day, Demechelis is clearly too old to compete at Premier League level. No way Guardiola is keeping him.
