"?Mamadou Sakho will not be leaving Liverpool on loan according to his agent, who also refuted claims of an argument between player and manager Jurgen Klopp, according to the "?Liverpool Echo.
The Frenchman was sent home from Liverpool's American tour after almost missing the flight, missing a training session and being late for a team meal. The action taken by Klopp sent the rumour-mill into overdrive, with several sources claiming Roma are interested in borrowing Sakho's services amidst supposed turmoil at Anfield.
But Sakho's intermediary Niakate Housseyni told LaRoma24 that there was no truth to the links and that his client would remain at Liverpool to fight for his place in the team.
He said: "No, I haven't had any contact with Roma. [Sakho] didn't have an argument with his manager, Jurgen Klopp.
"So he'll stay at Liverpool? Yes, he's a Liverpool player. I don't think Roma have that opportunity right now."
Jurgen Klopp also played down the incident but explained that Sakho had breached protocol and failed to show respect for the rules in place at the club. The German was annoyed with his defender but calmed the storm by describing the situation as 'not serious'.
He said: "It's not that serious. He nearly missed the departure of the plane, he missed a session and was late for a meal.
"We have some rules and we have to respect them. It is private how he reacted. But we had no argument, it wasn't 'aghh, you, no...'.
"I spoke. You cannot argue when only one person is speaking. That's all."
