Kano Pillars coach Ibrahim Musa has expressed concern that the absence of Junior Lokosa will be felt in their upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matches.
Lokosa was issued a straight red card for foul play against Enyimba defender Ifeanyi Anaemena in their Matchday 32 game after just 35 minutes at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar on Sunday.
Now Musa is looking at making adjustment in his playing personnel with Lokosa primed to miss their next three matches against Rivers United on Thursday, Plateau United on Sunday and then the trip to Gombe United on Matchday 34.
"Junior has been a very important player for us since he joined. He has done well so far especially in the second round. I think it was unfortunately that he got sent off in the game versus Enyimba because that was his first foul in the game. We have gone past that stage now so we will plan for our next games without him since he misses three matches.
"You know he has struck a good understanding with Nyima (Nwagua) ad they have done well together so far. But like I said we will have to plan for the next games without him," Musa told npfl.ng.
Musa is confident his team will come out tops in the games against Kano Pillars and league leaders Plateau United.
"We are prepared for these games, but we will take them one after the other. The team is ready, and I do not think they will be difficult games so far we play to our own strength. Of course we know what to expect. Rivers United are in need of points to make their fight against relegation easy and Plateau United want to remain top in order to win the league. We will see how it goes but we are very ready," he said.
Kano Pillars currently occupy 10th position with 44 points from 31 games.
