Liverpool are keen to sign Nigerian winger Moses Simon as Jurgen Klopp looks to add depth to his attacking options this summer.

Simon, who is wanted by several Premier League clubs, has a year left remaining on his current contract at Belgian side Gent.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the 22-year-old is expected to cost in the region of £10million and would be seen as back-up to Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Simon is versatile and can play on either flank but was primarily used on the left by Gent last season.

He scored six goals and added a further three assists to help his team to a fourth-place finish in the Belgian league.

Simon will not be representing his country at this summer's World Cup after being overlooked for a place in Nigeria's final 23-man squad by Gernot Rohr.
