Lazio sign Liverpool midfielder

Lazio have completed the signing of Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto on a permanent basis after his three years with the Anfield club.

The 23-year-old had played for various Spanish clubs, namely Sevilla and the Barcelona B team, before moving to Merseyside, since when he has also spent time on loan at Malaga and Deportivo La Coruna.

As announced on the English Premier League side’s official website, however, Alberto will begin a new chapter of his career in Italy with Lazio.

Although being part of Liverpool’s squad since 2013, he Alberto only played for them in hist first season after transferring to England.

He played 12 games in all competitions in the 2013/14 campaign, before spending the next two years back in Spain.

It ensures that there is some transfer action for Lazio before the window closes, as the Biancocelesti’s summer market has been relatively uneventful so far.
