Latest FIFA Rankings – Super Eagles Still In Africa Top Ten, 52nd In The World

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped one spot in the latest FIFA Rankings released by the World soccer governing body ?for the month of January 2018.

Nigeria are now 52nd in the world, one spot behind African Champions Cameroon, which Nigeria stopped from going to the World by picking the sole group ticket in their group.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are still the lowest ranked team in their World Cup group with Iceland, Argentina and Croatia or ranked higher than the West African side.

Argentina are ranked 4th, Croatia remain in 15th position while Iceland moved two spots to 18th in the world after amassing 1017 points from 959, an increase of 58 points.

On the African continent, the Super Eagles are now ranked 7th, higher than Algeria, Mali, Guinea and Cote d’Ivoire. The teams who were at a point in time higher than Nigeria in the rankings.

Tunisia are still the highest ranked African Nation with Senegal, Congo DR, Morocco and Egypt rounding up the top five., with Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Algeria completing the top ten
