Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah is ready for the challenge in the English Premier League after he was recalled by Crystal Palace from his loan spell at Cambridge United.

The 24-year-old was a surprise inclusion in Ghana’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations squad, but had a good tournament in Equatorial Guinea, scoring a goal in four matches.

He said the experience acquired from participating in the Afcon 2015 will help him cope well in the Premier league.

“Is nice to be back at Crystal Palace training with the players and working with the new manager,” Appiah told Joy FM.

“I've been back not for too long; is just some few days, but I'm looking forward to continuing training and see what is next for my club career.”

Appiah said he is not under any pressure to impress in the English top-flight.

“Pressure, there is always pressure no matter the level you're, there's always pressure in football; but how you deal with it is very important: if you don't deal with it the right way, is going to affect your performances.

“But I have done what is required well when I was with Ghana and I bring them here to Crystal Palace. Like I said, I've been here for a few weeks training and to see how things will go, and oversee what happens. Is about how you deal with the pressure, and I coped well with it. Long may that continue,” Appiah added.
